Jimmy was admitted to legal practice in October 2017. Before becoming a lawyer, he worked as a building surveyor, having completed a Bachelor of Environmental Design and a Graduate Diploma in Building Surveying.

Jimmy has a strong focus on workers compensation law, acting for injured workers under both Tasmanian and Commonwealth schemes. His experience includes matters under the:

  • Workers Rehabilitation and Compensation Act 1988 (Tas)
  • Safety, Rehabilitation and Compensation Act 1988 (Cth)
  • Seafarers Rehabilitation and Compensation Act 1992 (Cth)

He also maintains a broader litigation practice in:

  • Personal injury claims
  • Building and construction disputes
  • Planning and development law
  • General court matters

Jimmy’s background in the building industry gives him a practical and insightful approach to legal problem-solving, particularly in cases involving technical or regulatory issues.

Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his family, gardening, reading, and following football.
