He was admitted to practice in August 2014, and after a short stint working as a cellar hand at a winery in Switzerland, returned to Tasmania to work as a graduate lawyer at Butler McIntyre & Butler. Alexander joined McLean McKenzie & Topfer in January 2016 and works in the litigation team.

He is President of the Tasmanian Council of Social Services (TasCOSS), a member of the Tasmanian Community Fund Board and a Director of the RACT. Alex is a previous President of the North West Young Lawyers Committee of the Law Society of Tasmania. In early 2018, Alex was awarded the prize for being Tasmania’s Young Lawyer of the Year for 2017.
He enjoys cycling along the sunny North West Coast, sailing, and spending time at Sisters Beach with his partner, their dog Pudding and friends and family.
